Remote Controlled Airships feedback

From: Matt

"I received my saucer on 5/27 and had it filled for US$2.50 about twenty minutes after receiving it. I was flying ten minutes later! (of course five of those minutes was getting home).

I guess the first surprise was the size! When filled, the 3 foot envelope has a quite forboding appearance gliding down the hallway. I couldn't resist taking it down to work with me at the video store. Our high ceilings and rather large square footage was perfect!

Customers were enthralled as I zipped it effortlessly over the racks from section to section. I dangled a mini-poster for "Mars Attacks" from the control unit which comes out this summer...a perfect tie-in! My manager fell in love and invited it back to fly when the movie actually comes out.

Imagine, I'm going to be paid to fly around and brag. Worth every penny! Thanks! -Matt

From: Curtis Taken From T3 Magazine

How are you? First of all I'd like to say thanks for writing a magazine that I (and other techno-freaks) have been waiting for all my life. It's one of the only mags I read from cover to cover without fail.

Anyway, the reason I'm writing is to let you know of the fun I'm having with a product I read about in issue three of T3. It appeared on the top right of page 11 and the item was a remote-controlled flying saucer. I got in contact with the suppliers and had one at my door in just seven days. I bought it for a Christmas present for my dad but at the moment I'm playing with it whenever he's not here.

It's great for indoor use. Because it is so light, if I take it outside I fear it will be the first and last flight it has. However, when this time comes (and trust me, it will) I'm going to cover it in as many flashing lights as I can and set it in flight over the busy town of Oxford (where I live) in the early hours of the evening.

How many UFO scares do you reckon I'll be able to cause? I'll be famous! I'll be rich! The world will be MINE Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! (Eating beef never did me any harm.) Curtis, via email.

Hi, Just a quick message to say thanks for your prompt service in sending me my UFO balloon, it's BRILLIANT. Once again I thank you for your prompt service. Kind Regards

How about this for an alternative use - find draughts around the house? It won't go upstairs very well, because there is a draught of cold air (very difficult to detect) coming down all the time. I could try and get it to the warm updraft, but I think it goes through a gap too small for the envelope.

Once I had the ballast perfect and separated into a couple dime sized balls, it was on it's way. Nice gentle cruising around the living room. My wife thinks it's silly, but I love it!

Probably one of my all time favorite toys. Very relaxing. Quite a departure from flying my R/C helicopter! But neat as hell. It just amazes me that I can stick a balloon in mid-air and have it just hang! Thanks! -Jeff D

I'll be showing this thing to quite a few people around here, and I expect you'll see some more orders soon. In fact, I am part owner (1/3) in a local computer retail business and will most likely keep it over there to play with.

I'm sure some of our customers will be interested. Once I get it, I'll let you know how it goes. It should hold me over through the winter when I can't fly my R/C helicopter or planes. Nothing like a little couch flying! :-) Thanks again, John O

Thanks for the R/C Flying Saucer which arrived today. We managed to get it filled for five pounds sterling at a Flower Shop just down the road.

Joe is very pleased with his Christmas Present and is having great fun with it: his first flight was down the stairs!

He was feeling a bit down before it arrived has he had slipped on the ice on a frozen pond yesterday and had to have stitches in his eyebrow, so now he has something to take his mind off feeling fed up! PC Bristol, UK
